看公仔箱

在東莞鳳涌村探遊，村民還是日不閉門，走過一間村屋，見屋內有四位村婦圍坐在〝公仔箱〞前，她們正在聚精會神地觀看著廣播劇。那情景令我回憶童年時，在西環住所附近的一間涼茶舖看有線電視節目，當時香港就只有需繳費的有線麗的電視，播放的都是黑白畫面。

已記不起涼茶舖收多少〝入場費〞，卻還記得那天正播放著馬師曾的戲...

Gong Chai Box “公仔箱”is a way that Hong Kong people describe television in the old days in the 60s. Gong Chai Box “公仔箱”simply means television.
